Windows 11 Enterprise overview
Windows 11. The main part of this announcement was intended to introduce a major user interface change codenamed Sun Valley. As we know, much of the UX changes are borrowed from the Windows 10X shell, and Windows 10X will not be released. Now, as expected, the Windows 11 data leak begins.
Features of Windows 11 Enterprise
Windows 11 gets a completely new look. Microsoft clearly needs a good reason to retract its previous claims and continue to reject Windows 10 with a new operating system number. And the brand new look matches it perfectly. The Redmond giant has long been preparing a new look for an update codenamed Sun Valley (“Sun Valley”) – apparently under this name it was Windows 11. The Sun Valley project shone on the Internet for a long time – Microsoft regularly revealed details of the new interface style, insiders shared previously unknown information and their designers popular in their circles drew realistic concepts based on all this information.
Startup and System items float above the bottom bar. Start is the business card and face of all the latest versions of Windows. It’s no wonder that in Windows 11, developers are changing it again, but not so much in terms of functionality, but visually – the Start window floats above the bottom bar. Although, this small change makes the system look much fresher. Based on the information obtained from the Internet, Microsoft does not radically change the “interior” of this menu – the innovations affect only the appearance of the window itself. The control panel also floats and looks exactly like “Start”. The action center is combined with control buttons – something similar has been used in some other operating systems for a long time. Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that it will be island-like – control buttons in one separate panel, notifications in another, and certain elements (eg player) in another.
Straight corners disappear and are replaced by rounded corners. The truth is that insiders and concept designers disagree on this matter – some are convinced that Microsoft will not change its traditions and remain in the right corner, while others are convinced that Microsoft will jump on the rounded trend in 2021. The latter is better suited to the “completely new Windows ” to the definition – the menus floating above the screen alone are not enough to make the new look truly new. The purpose of rotation is to affect practically everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows. It is true that even in this matter, the opinions of concept designers differ – some draw curves for all possible interface elements, others connect them with right angles.
There is transparent background and blur everywhere. There are disagreements on the Internet about the island style of the window display, the corner design and the levitation effect of the menu, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of the windows. Most of the leaks and design renders show transparency and blur in all windows, whether it’s at least the Start menu or Explorer. Moreover, these effects are even present in the configuration of the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed for dual-screen devices and low-end devices in parallel with the Sun Valley project. The so-called acrylic transparency means the use of new effects when hovering over the elements and the increased distance between the elements – the areas of the user interface with which the user interacts will certainly become larger and the page titles will be bolder.
A new font that has already been presented. Windows 11 will probably use the default responsive Segoe UI Variable font, which already appeared in Windows 10 Build 21376 for Insiders.
